This photo is a celebration of my ‘Techie’ in action. It highlights his technical outdoor skills certainly, but please note the skill with which he decorated his helmet. It is this skill which I so richly appreciate, especially when I need someone to get my ‘great idea’ to work in reality : turn an old case into a frame for an artwork, put a hanger on the back of a wet painting that is due at an exhibition in half an hour, or wander about the desert with a prop for an artwork.
Without the Techie, my art would stay on the floor or stuck in my head.
