Henry Stacey’s life was shaped by gold. Born near Mt Buller, in the Victorian goldrush, he moved in through many mining towns including Charters Towers in Queensland and Mt Magnet. His last gold town was Kalgoorlie Boulder. Many places he lived have long been erased by wind and dust. He died of silicosis in 1923. He was my Great Grandfather. |
