The inaugural Western Australian Portrait Artists exhibition ‘Skin Deep’ opened at Kidogo Art House on Friday night. The very talented Peter Ciemetis opened the exhibition and educated the large crowd about portrait painting and the delights of investing in it (thanks Peter). Most of the artists including Peter have a link to the Black Swan Portrait award. The interest was huge, we made quite a few sales and I hope that we continue to hold this exhibition around this time every year.
Paticipating artists are: Brad Durrant, Jana Vodesil Baruffi , Steve Makse, Tessa Mc Conie, Leanne Pearson, Carolyn Marinovich, Myriam Quinn, Judy Rogers and John McIntosh.
Special thanks to Brad Durrant who did the vast bulk of the work to get the exhibition together and was still cleaning up long after most people had left.
