At short notice my Uncle Bruce agreed to be the subject of a portrait entry for the Victoria Park Art Award. Uncharacteristically he was a bit tricky at points, but I got there in the end and ‘Bruce’ was awarded a highly commended.
Uncle Bruce now thinks he’s off to the Archibald - I like his confidence, but I told him he has to become famous (or infamous) by Christmas. The Archibald’s only accept portraits of the famous - Uncle Bruce is fabulous , but not famous which just proves fame isn’t everything.
